Wild Skin is New Zealand owned and operated, based in Auckland, New Zealand specialising in providing premium Cuticle Oil for the manicure lover, Nail Technicians & the hydration queens. Our cuticle oils are made in house by us using only premium quality oils bought within New Zealand & sourced overseas. We pride ourselves on providing a product which is vegan, chemical-free, cruelty-free and New Zealand Made. You can rest assured knowing that I, Kerryn am a nail tech myself & that we have put our knowledge, heart & love into making these products for our juicy cuticle lovers of New Zealand!

What are cuticles?

Your cuticles are part of your skin. They are the colorless tissue attached to your nail plate.

It is formed from the underside of the skin above the natural nail plate.

The cuticle has the responsibility of sealing the gap between your natural nail plate and your eponychium (the living skin that sits on top of your cuticle) to prevent foreign material and microorganisms from entering and causing infections.

Why use cuticle oil?

Your cuticles are tasked with stopping the bad stuff from entering the nail bed and causing infection. If you break this natural barrier, the cuticles and eponychium can become inflamed.

Cuticle Oils are designed to be absorbed into the natural nail plate and the surrounding skin to increase flexibility, to soften and hydrate and therefore leaving your cuticles less likely to break or tear and potentially cause an infection.

Because of Vitamin E & Jojoba oils great attributes of being to able to penetrate the skin easily, Our cuticle oil helps to create a protective layer faster then hand cream and leaves the skin feeling hydrated for longer. Vitamin E oil is also both a humectant & an emollient, which means it helps your skin absorb moisture but also traps it within the skin. Who doesn’t want juicy cuticles all day long? - Remember… Consistency is key!!
